The summer festivities are coming to an end so I may have more time to update the kids sites.

Yes, I realize it's been SEVERAL months since I've updated... but rest assured we are still around and doing TONS.

This summer was full of trips to the zoo, parks, plane ride down and back to VA over the 4th of July, Ashton's first birthday and now gearing up for Reese and Riley's first days at preschool and Pre-K.... followed closely by Reese's 5th birthday!

I'm finding that updating on Facebook is WAY easier than updating the sites at times, so feel free to put in a friend request!

I hope to find some extra time to catch up since *cough*May*cough* one of these weekends!

PHEW.

Between Scott being out of town 2 of the last 5 weeks of updates, school related activities and just being a mom of 3 very active children it's hard to keep up online with everything going on.... however, I do believe I have managed to get caught up at least through the frog hop. We have taken a few hikes and bike rides since then, and I hope to get that up and going.

Summer arrives within a few days and with school being out our days are filled with parks, trips to the zoo and soon to be lake.

Make sure to check back soon as I hope to get a few more chunks of time throughout the next few weeks to update more.

Frog Hop

Tiffany let all of us know that there was a Frog Hop scheduled for Saturday at 8 at Silver Creek Metro Park. It was a hike to listen to different frogs in the area, and hopefully see a few. We all geared up for a wee bit of a muddy hike and set up to meet up with Ron and Alura.

The kids were nice and muddy by the time we were done with the 1 mile hike but it was SO cool as we made our way down to the pond a Green Frog managed to be close enough to the walkway that John shined a light down on it, and as it plopped back into the water he reached down and grabbed it up for the kids to check it out and even pet it! The highlight of the hike!

Akron Zoo Field Trip

Reese's last field trip for the year was at the Akron Zoo today. I was proud that we all got there on time and with little incident! Reese was so excited to see her friends, but mostly to check out all the animals.

It was really neat the way that her school and teachers had it set up, of course it was crazy busy at the zoo due to the it being a "School Day" at the actual zoo... but all the teachers at the preschool were at different exhibits throughout the zoo and the children had to get stamps for different animals. Reese enjoyed it, but Riley loved every bit of it meeting all the teachers and showing Reese where the stamps were located!

I woke up to beautiful cards from Scott and the kids. I also was given a Victoria Jackson make up kit AND a pink wireless mouse. I LOVE IT!

I feel like the luckiest mommy in the whole world today! After opening our gifts we got dressed and headed to The Barn for our Mother's Day lunch... complete with a piece of pecan pie and rounded out the morning feeding the ducks!

Junior Prom Court

Definitely hit the ground running this morning.... Scott got in around 1AM from his trip out to Iowa/Nebraska after being away all week, but that didn't stop all the craziness for the weekend!

Reese, Riley and Ashton had their second to last swim classes. They did amazing as always, then we headed after showers directly over to Akron University to do a quick run through of where Reese and Riley would be walking for the Junior Prom Court.

Once again Reese and Riley did a great job, though were SO ready for a nap when it was all said and done…. After coming home for a nap and dinner, Linda came over to do Reese and Riley's hair. The girls were incredibly cute!

We then headed over to AU for the festivities! I was THE PROUDEST mommy EVER when Reese and Riley walked out and did their thing just as directed. They looked like two little cherubs and I love them to pieces! Good job my angels!

Flower Girl!

As if our day couldn't get any busier, Reese was the flower girl in her FIRST wedding ever! She did SUCH a good job! She was the most beautiful flower girl ever! Couldn't have been more prouder at any given moment!

Mother's Day Tea Party

Today was our Mother's Day Tea Party. I didn't miss this one! Helped that it was during school hours. All the parents congregated outside the classroom waiting to be called back to Mrs. A's class. As soon as she said it was time to come in all the mother's were greeted to a beautiful rendition of "You Are My Sunshine" followed by each child giving a plant to us. It made me tear up a little!

After singing we sat down in our assigned seats that were decorated with presents that Reese made. A book mark and card. We all ate sandwiches that the children made. I was very impressed with Reese's sandwich making skills! I suppose she can now put this skill to work just as she pours her own milk during meal times!

I was quite teary this day. I suppose it was the realization that Reese was getting so big and that Riley was away at her first outing without mommy/daddy.
