Semi-Annual Haircut

Reese got her bi-yearly hair trim today! She loved it of course.... and it also was the first preparation for the junior prom court on Saturday. I was so impressed with Reese as she was very patient while waiting for Riley to get her first hair cut. Riley's hair is 3/4 times thicker than Reese's hair. After the hair dresser finished Reese's cut she only charged me 1/2 price because she "didn't do hardly anything." I suppose it was a good thing I had Riley go first!

Reese is within a few inches of being able to donate to Locks of Love... but the hair dresser and I both agreed that Riley may be able to donate before Reese!

The girls were SO incredibly cute during Riley's party.... Reese tried to be as patient as she could.... but at 4 1/2 it's hard.

After Riley's "big" birthday gift they took to the road and "burned rubber" as we like to joke. Don't worry, Reese received a larger bike helmet after this little ride... seems her head grew a wee bit over the summer!

ALL day was talk of the highlight of the ENTIRE week.... "CHUCK E CHEESE DAY!" Yes, it was Riley's official birthday family evening (yes, it was 2 days early, but no way we would be going here before Saturday's party!) at Chuck E Cheese. Reese was looking forward to playing games with Scott and Uncle Shaun. She loved riding the rides as usual, taking photos and helping to open gifts but of course, she wanted her "flat cookie" which was a beautiful butterfly.

Big thank you to Uncle Shaun for winning a couple hundred tickets for the girls to be able to get their princess crowns, spiders and combs.
 

First Bike Ride of the Season

With the purchase of my bike and Ashton's infant seat for the back of my bike we headed out for our first bike ride as a family this afternoon. It was a wee bit chilly, but gloriously beautiful Sunday late afternoon downtown.

Scott took us over the "new bridge" that connected the Tow Path with downtown, or "our bridge" as Reese refers to it. It's beautiful and of course we stopped to take a photo.

Still Fishin' Along!

Reese is still excelling in her swim class, along with her class mates. She's excited to do things like jumping in, diving to pick up rings and gliding from the side of the pool. I'm hopeful that by the end of the year she can swim by herself!

Due to scheduling conflicts later in the week the kids and Scott's parents celebrated Scott's and my Birthday today! It was such a nice little family party. The best part was the Tom/Linda offered to watch the kids so that we could go out to eat to Yellowtail! DELICHIOUS!

The highlight of Reese's evening was definitely the presents, cake and ice cream that followed our return trip.

I was very happy to receive my mirror for my soon to be purchased bike!

The photos and article I submitted from the Panther Pal's Easter party made the paper over the weekend! I was quite shocked as it's usually the community Easter Egg Hunt, I suppose no one submited a photo and story this year?

Reese and Riley woke up giddy and hysterical waiting to see what the Easter bunny left... complete with an Easter Egg Hunt!

They both did great and were so excited to see all the items that Scott, myself, Grammy B, Great Grandma, Rebecca and Jeanne left for the Easter Bunny.
