(5 months 4 weeks 2 days)

WOW what a weekend! Friday night we didn’t do too much, we were all so tired… but it was great because Saturday we were heading down to Columbus to meet Maleah and her hubby Eric for lunch! It was raining like cats and dogs and by the time we got about 15 miles outside of Mansfield, we were going about 30mph with a good 3 inches of snow on I-71!

10:00 AM on I-71 South heading towards Columbus.

We passed several accidents... one of which a Ford Escape flipped about 15 minutes after he flew past us.... he was taken away in an ambulance.

See, we weren't the only ones out and about.

Going ohhhh about 30mph on the interstate.

Such a cutie! And what a good baby for about 2 1/2 hours in her car seat EACH WAY.

Scott finished off the leg after we left the infamous Exit 151. (See ER Visit post LOL)

SHAKE RATTLE AND ROLL!

"I want out of here now and I will arch my back to try and bust out of this!" I also think she might have been trying to poop herself! LOL Gotta love the face!

MMMM Hungry Caterpillar head! (Can you tell I was killing some time on the drive down to Columbus in teh back seat? hehe)

Quick change in BFE Ohio.... all the gas stations were without power! Scott found one, but didn't have a bathroom I'd trust... nothing like a backseat change!

Reese's security entourage....

Don't you just wanna kiss all over her?! DON'T!! She just fell asleep!

2 ½ hours later we met up at PF Changs and had a FANTASTIC lunch and good times had by all. I was so happy that Scott and I were able to take care of all the “bath necessities” for their little bundle due in June. I remember how freaked out I was over not having those items, glad that we were able to accommodate and then some. GREAT GREAT TIME! And I only cried once. Reese was a GEM…. And a puke machine. Ask Maleah about the projectile vomit!

She was a perfect little angel! She was in her car seat, round trip, for almost 6 hours!!! She only cried a little bit when she was ready to be OUT of her car seat, but after 5 minutes of “fake crying” she’d be back asleep for another 30 min – an hour. We would have made it all in about 3.5 hours TOPS if the traffic was cooperative, but with the snow…. It was quite horrible…. But it’s good to be married to OnStar. Scott took one look at the atlas and ended up taking us on a “scenic route” that got us home SO much faster than if we had stayed on the interstate! I love that man!

As soon as we got home we got some dinner. I also started Reese on plums for the first time! SHE LOVED THEM! And I’ve found that we needed to add an additional ounce of food to her daily servings. So she is up to 3 oz of misc homemade fruits/veggies, 1+ table spoon of some sort of cereal and all of this is mixed with at least 3+ ounces of ebm and a good ounce of water…. BIG GROWING BABY! After we all ate, bathed and got ready for bed we CRASHED. Well… not before we set the clocks ahead an hour!

WOO HOOO!!!! Gettin' ready for PLUMS!

Hurm, need to roll this around a bit to get a nice even taste.... (I swear this reminds me of people wine tasting when she does this! LOL)

It's escaping! I can't lose a droolful!!! It's SO GOOD!

MOM, you aren't shoveling fast enough, give that to me! (Notice my hand sorta just sitting there... stunded. She's got a viber steel gripHAHA)

Eating mom's homemade food is going to make me THIS BIG!

Got it! Can't leave any scrids on the bib! This lil' monkey ate 1 oz of plums, 1 oz of sweet potatoes, 1 oz of avocado, 1/2 table spoon of oatmeal and all of this was mixed with about 3 1/2 oz of ebm!

Clean up!! Scott picked her up in the chair and brought her into the kitchen... she HATES "clean up."

Oh yeah, wash it down with some h2O!

Reese is a great alarm clock, not sure why we bother to set our own! We got up at around 7:30 and we were all out of the door by 8:30AM heading to Chardon, Ohio for their annual Maple Syrup Festival! THOUGH……… with a good 1 ½ feet of SNOW the festival was closed down, but we had the BEST all you can eat pancakes/French toast, eggs and bacon breakfast with REAL, processed straight from the tree, maple syrup!

Heading out of the Falls at 8:30AM, April 3rd.

Heading into Chardon less than an hour later.....

Would have taken a shot from the front, but visibility was limited.... but gave me an excuse to photograph my dream home. LOL

Chardone.... most places without power, right in the middle of the "Snow Belt" of Ohio.

Fair closed, but hey, PANCAKES STILL THERE! This was for the die hard Maple Syrup Festival goers.... Scott just wanted the Maple Syrup.

Going down alley road to get into the school.

These WERE steps leading into an entrance.... all this snow fell LAST NIGHT.

Blustery 1st week of Spring day!

PHEW.... made it... and look at those stacks, can't beat it for $5.00 all you can eat! Poor Reese, thought that the water was just as good as the stuff she was smelling!

Bedraggled anyone?

No ferris wheel rides this weekend....

Had to take a photo of how much snow fell vs. how much had been plowed. Obviously some vendors hadn't moved their vehicles in a while.

Look at all the snow, and we got lucky, the school still had power, no one else did!

How in the WORLD could this be comfortable?

AND, just when you think that this weekend was over…. HA, think again! SOooOooOoOooo ya know how I picked out the Jeep stroller that really wasn’t a jogging stroller, returned it, got the money back, wrote a check and mailed it to my mom for her to order another one from a different site? WELL….. Scott and I stopped by Baby Depot in Macedonia to check out their mesh feeders as well as infant sunglasses with straps. While I was looking for these items, Scott was perusing the jogging stroller section and said “Sue, what was so great about the one that we were looking at online?” I laughed and rolled my eyes and said “Oh no, what now?” He said, “Look at this one…. And the price.” GOOD LORD, it was a better stroller ON SALE…. Like a good $50 UNDER the price…. So, needless to say, we scooped that joker up as well as an infant-to-toddler car seat and a gift for our dear friends who’s son is turning 2 next weekend for $1 less than the money we were given as a birthday gift!!! HOW GREAT IS THAT?! WOO HOO SCORE TWO FOR US!

Notice where it says "JOGGING." And notice that this is the 2nd Stroller brought home, and NOT the final one to be unpacked, assembled, repacked and RETURNED. Scott you ARE the man!

I also was able to help out a mom-to-be and her hubby because they stopped me while looking for the bottle stuff to ask me about the type of mattress we purchased. LOW AND BEHOLD, we happened to get ours on sale from Baby Depot, and that’s the same one they wanted, so it was great to chat it up with them about other stuff too. Have I mentioned before I love the “Mom Club?”

We get home and have a good time messing around with the puke machine and watching I Heart Huckerby. I thought this was also a good time to start to put the items we purchased at Baby Depot together:

Darn packaging! Thanks Rebecca / Mom / Grandma!

Reese "helping" she kept putting the ENTIRE assembly towards her. I kept saying "Hey, no more chin ups!"

Stinker, let me finish putting this screw in! Oh, and we were watching I Heart Huckerby.

TA DA! SUPER MOM STRIKES AGAIN! (Hey, no smirks on how easy it was to put together, Scott!)

About time mom! I've been waiting SOOOOOO long.

Going NUTZ in the infant to toddler chair! Oh, btw, "Reese where are your socks?" "Mom, you know! I peed all over them at the Maple Festival! I've gotten good at peeing as SOON as the other pee soaked diaper is removed."

"Hey, the cow head sings....."

Birds eye view of a very happy Monkey Baby.

Neurotic making sure Reese meets all requirements... (though this stroller was in our house for less than 1 hour)

Scott taking over... too many pieces and parts. LOL Notice Reese, she could have given to flips... she had her pots and blocks.

When I was putting all of this together, the CRAZIEST thing happened… I was so stunned I just kept saying “Scott, Scott, Scott, Scott” until he followed my line of view and we both were looking at Reese up on all fours for a few seconds at a time! She was trying to crawl herself over to the monkey teether and blocks that she had pushed away! It was the most amazing thing ever! This stinker is so going to start crawling ANY DAY NOW.

While Scott was finishing up the stroller Reese downloaded in her pants and while he was changing her I had this “OH I FORGOT ONE THING AT BABY DEPOT!” I needed a holder for baby items for the top rack of the dish washer. It worked out well because Scott wanted to go by Blockbuster and get another movie (Love that $9.99 a month rental). We packed up Reese and headed over to Baby Depot…. And we headed STRAIGHT back to the baby eating / cleaning section and found what we needed….

I blame this next segment solely on Scott.

Scott walked over 3 sections… count em, THREE, to see their jogging stroller section. HOLY CRAP….. the “elite” of the strollers, $200 stroller, on SALE for $99.99…. and there was only 1 left. 5:35PM and I’m standing there with Reese having the store clerk look to make sure they have the stroller, because she was only going off the computer. PHEW, found it. So Scott races home, un assembles the ½ assembled and re-pack everything back in the box and get back into the store with 5 minutes left until Baby Depot closed!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I swear, NEVER a boring moment in our household.

Pictures of the THIRD and final stroller will be posted as soon as Scott assembles it. BWAHAHA But Scott was tooting his own horn at the “great deal” he found, which I had to agree with him 300% and he even called my mom to tell her and she DIED laughing and said “Sorry Scott, I think she learned that from me….” What can I say, I love and am loved.

AND the FINAL piece of updatage…. For some reason I took A TON of photos this week, think because there was so much going on, but anywho, all the photos taken this week that were worth posting… and there are a TON…. Minus the LAST stroller assembly Enjoy and you will more than likely have to make several trips back to her page.

FIRST TIME USING A SIPPY CUP!
Friday, April 01, 2005

(5 months 4 weeks)

Well, I have been eyeing the Nuby No-Spill cups the past month or so… I broke down and purchased one and there it sat on the kitchen counter until I felt that it was safe to use it… less than 24 hours after purchasing it! :lmao:

Reese liked to chew the nipple part, but hey, she enjoyed it and it’s the first time she HASN’T spit the water back out! IMO, it was a great success!

Here are some photos!

Reese's FIRST time using her sippy.... BIG SMILES!

"Wait, how's this work again?"

Ready for my walk.... got my "sports bottle" and Nike hat, let's hit the road Jack!

"Let's get ready to RUMBLE.... GRRRRR!"

"What the heck.... the stuff isn't coming OUT..."

It’s just amazing…

(5 months 3 weeks 6 days)

...to watch Reese experience EVERYTHING for the first time. It just makes you wish that you didn’t take everything for granted. When we were returning the stroller to Wal-Mart… another story within itself… it was a GORGEOUS morning. Upper 60’s, light wind and sunny. I was carrying Reese in and she kept looking down and laughing…. I thought she was trying to go after my keys or the piece of paper in my hand like she ALWAYS does… but upon closer observation, SHE SAW OUR SHADOWS! She was trying to figure out what these dark moving shapes that were following us as we walked. It was so cute…. I just kissed her all over while we walked through the double doors.

I overlooked the fact that this is Reese’s FIRST spring! She’s only ever seen dreary, snow covered Ohio…. So with it being so sunny and windy it was just a new experience and sensory overload for her. LOVED IT! Reese would just start giggling away when the next burst of warm wind would rush through… it was just one of those “if the world stopped right now, I’d be perfectly happy for the rest of my life” moments.

And it’s inevitable; Reese will be crawling any day now…. Well let me back this up, she’ll either crawl a little before walking…. Or go straight to walking. She’s showing ALL the signs of wanting to crawl, but finding that pushing, pulling and rolling can get her to places fast. Reese tried so hard to try and pull herself up with the Incrediblock I thought she was going to do it last night!

I’ve been putting Reese in one spot and watch her move, turn, twist, roll, push, ½ crawl to get to where she REALLY wants to be. My little girl is growing up too fast…. OH WHY CAN’T THEY JUST STAY SMALL?

AND happy to report that REESE SLEPT 100% THROUGH THE NIGHT!!! The diaper worked! Score one for Mom! WOO HOO! Come to find out, Sarah’s dad (in Canada) actually helped to develop the beads that are in the diapers that absorb the wetness! SMALL WORLD!

Now as far as the stroller story. I was a little concerned that Wally-World wasn’t going to take back the stroller because it is a technically “online only” purchase… but the women were SUPER nice and took the stroller back and gave me back 100% of the money!! INCLUDING SHIPPING & HANDLING! Unfortunately, they couldn’t put it back into my mom’s account (she and Rebecca are the ones that paid for it) because I didn’t have her card/account number…. But they gave me back the cash…. Which I then deposited into my account and mailed out a check to my mom all in the same day. PHEW. AND, since Scott and I already picked out the new stroller, hopefully it will be here in the next couple of weeks. NOW… you are probably saying “why didn’t you just pay for the stroller yourself?” Well… tried to tell my mom that, but since the newer stroller is a little bit more expensive, she didn’t want us to pay the difference… so she insisted on getting the money back (I keep typing monkey ) and taking care of 100% of the cost. MAN I love my family.

I can’t believe it’s already Thursday, where has this week gone?! I’ve uploaded a few photos from this week already, just because I wanted to show Reese being Reese, along with her Incrediblock as well as her trying to start to crawl. ENJOY more will follow!

I need to check the back porch more often!

(5 months 3 weeks 5 days)

WOO HOO! My mom’s Easter Gift arrived for Reese! INCREDIBLOCK SYSTEM! WOOO HOOO!

This thing is so awesome! Each side does something different and each block activates lights and sound as well as tells what the block is on top… then spins. Reese LOVES LOVES LOVES IT!

Grandma C sent this to me?! YIPEE!!!

"YAY! MORE BLOCKS!" I did put the stickers on the side.... boy was that a pain... but Reese was more intersted in what was happening inside the blocks.

My MIL says that "Reese has one of those 'perfect profiles'".... and not to mention a SMARTIE!

Clean up - Aisle 9. Notice puke on Scott's leg... He said "That's right Reese, break it in." She was puking all over her toys... herself.... Scott.... LOL

Looks like Reese is mad because Scott is wiping off her puke. LOL

What's Reese look like when she's surprised in the middle of a chew?

Can you say excited baby?

Happy red (breastfaced) baby.... nothing like being content.

Demonic child..... don't get between Reese and her Peek-A-Blocks.

Noticing a pattern here?

There was also another birthday gift for Scott and I!! A JOGGING STROLLER! YAY!! I busted that joker out to put it together and read the warning label first, to see about weight etc….. Guess what was in HUGE block letters…. “THIS IS NOT A JOGGING STROLLER. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT TO JOG, RUN OR ANY OTHER ATHLETIC ACTIVITY.” WHAT IN THE HECK?! I’m more pissed at Wal-Mart’s website for grouping what looks like “jogging” strollers together, but you must read the titles and fine print…. Even though each look like they COULD be joggers, but noooooo, they are just regular strollers to LOOK like joggers… such posers. BLEH. We read further…. It’s due to the tires and balancing…. Ever race your little brother or sister around in a wheel barrel? Yeah, same principal…and I’d rather not give Reese any stitches I gave my brother as a kid. SOOOOO this one is being packed BACK up, returned, instant credit given and the rest of the night was spent doing research on true joggers, which was the best, lightest, easiest and in our price range…. Man, there are some SERIOUS joggers out there….. think I’d have to sell a kidney to afford some of them, but we’ve settled on 1 that is LIGHTER and happens to be better than what we had originally picked out, and ON SALE. EVEN BETTER. So hopefully this will make everything right. Mom was worried that it wouldn’t be here by the Race for the Cure…… had to remind her it is in OCTOBER. Love my mom Though, would be nice to have it by April 17th for the American Cancer Society 2 mile run….. maybe?

I also have failed to list a few things that have happened in the past few days.

1. Reese is SCARED TO DEATH of the car wash. It is really MY fault. As most have heard me rave over, Saturn gives FREE car washes to all Saturn owners. I usually take Reese and wait in their wonderful service area. But Saturday was just a perfectly beautiful day and there wasn’t anyone waiting in the service line, and I asked if I could have my car washed as always and he said “Sure” and I said “Hang on, let me grab my daughter out of the back before you head on through.” He said, “Oh, you just want to ride through?” I was shocked because I thought it wasn’t allowed, but without hesitation I said “Sure!” So the service guy and I are talking and we start going through…. As SOON as the brushes hit the window I hear this SHRIEK in the back…. My heart skipped a beat and I thought “OH CRAP!!! REESE’S FIRST CAR WASH!!!!” I had to chuckle to myself while trying to console Reese to let her know that she wasn’t going to get hurt… but it made me flash back to the AFV of the 2 kids in the back seat that leaned together and screamed when the brushes hit the side of the car… but as soon as it stopped they would relax and start laughing…. Then get scared again. The service guy was great though, he rushed us on through and I was able to get out and scoop Reese up to let her know that her mommy wasn’t going to send her to the big brushes in the sky…. As soon as she saw my face, she was all grins…. HOWEVER…………………….. when we got home, Scott had pulled in right behind me and followed me into the house. I put everything down and he said “Sue, Reese pooped on herself.” I said “WHAT?!” Sure enough…. The car wash scared the poop out of her… LITERALLY. First leaker we’ve had in a LONG time…. So from now on, we will wait the whole 5 minutes IN the service area until further notice.

2. Reese LOVES DOGS…. And Estelle and George. She’s IN LOVE with Oreo… and not to mention Molly, the Saylor’s miniature poodle. She just DIES laughing when she sees either of them. It’s so incredibly cute! We visited with the Saylor’s before heading back home Sunday evening. It was good to see everyone! I had to laugh because when you looked up and down the IL’s street you could tell who was hosting Easter Dinner and who wasn’t!

3. I’m conducting an experiment… tonight will be the first of 5 nights to see if it works. We have a VERY clean child… she HATES being wet or sitting in her own poop. Which is fine with me, I don’t want her to be the smelly kid at pre-school and this will come in SUPER handy when we’re trying to learn to potty train….. HOWEVER, it’s becoming a MAJOR pain at night. Since her little butt is getting bigger she’s doing most of her urination at night… which fills her diaper… hence, she’s waking PISSED OFF around 3:30 – 4:30 depending. She’s hungry, but usually falls back asleep within 15 minutes, so nursing is more of a means to an end….. so today, I picked up size 4 baby dry pampers to see if they won’t hold more of the wetness AWAY from her skin….. will letcha know if we can get more of those 7 – 7 nights in! KEEP THOSE FINGERS CROSSED!

4. REESE ATE PEACHES WITH NO FACES! I had one 1 oz thing of homemade peaches left and didn’t want to throw it away, so I gave her an oz of pears and oz of peaches along with 1 ½ tablespoons of oatmeal to top her off… she ate all of it with NO problems! Silly girl, glad we don’t have a picky eater, think she just has to get used to different textures and tastes… hope this trend continues! She downed some left over sweet taters and one of the most expensive DARN Avocado ever…. Must be some weird Ohio Easter dish that requires California Avocados…. Couldn’t find any last week… well take that back, could find 1 but it was wayyy over ripe and well, gross…. So I opted for 1 Mexican Avocado, very different texture/taste, but Linda said Reese didn’t care, she wolfed it down.

Think that is all the updates…… will post more if I remember anything, I’m about to collapse, way past my bedtime, but we just got finished watching Bridget Jones’ Diary 2, OH SO GOOD!!!! Highly recommend everyone watching it!!
G’night!

My GOD Do I love Reese.

(5 months 3 weeks 4 days)

I've uploaded the rest of week 25 photos that I forgot to drag off the camera after posting the updates a couple of days ago.... boy does she LOVE her bath time.

MMMM tub.

"I'm THIS BIG!"

And if you've been keeping up each week with her photos, you know that Scott and I have been taking photos of Reese in the mirror since she was "little".... I finally broke out the BIG mirror downstairs and set up for some sitting down shots. I must say, she loves herself as much as we do! And here's the best photo in the whole bunch to prove it:

"I'm so cute I COULD KISS MYSELF!"

Some other shots taken:

"I will share with you."

"Hey, stop copying me."

"I can yell louder than you!"

See why Scott and I just gush over our daughter? I LOVE LOVE LOVE HER DARNIT!

Good grief.

Reese, I hope someday you will appreciate what I've gone through for you.  And I suppose I should be embarassed about this, but I'm not, because others out there have had this same problem, if they didn't, then why are there tons of specialists out there to deal with this problem. And besides, if I can give you a blow by blow account of Reese's birth in her Birth Story, you can handle this. So, read, live and learn.

So I went in to see Barb this morning cuz well.....

TMI TO FOLLOW.... STOP READING NOW IF YOU DON'T WANNA BE GROSSED OUT.
(though, you will probably be too intrigued about what's going on to stop reading)

Let me back up to July 13th, 2001. I thought I had appendicitis (Scott and I had just started dating in May) and I had to be rushed to the ER for emergency surgery. Come to find out it was an appendage from my appendix (yeah, all appendix have these little antenna like things around it) that had knotted and attached to my right upper colon. They removed the appendage and thought all was well.... no, I had to have a barium enema to make sure that the surgery went ok and my colon was fine and there weren't any other weird things going on. MY GOD WAS THAT ONE OF THE MOST PAINFUL THINGS EVER, NEXT TO GIVING BIRTH.

After the surgery this is where my bowels went haywire.....I have regular movements, but they sometimes aren't comfortable..... I ended up getting a fissure in Nov-Dec 2001 while in New Orleans... PAIN pure and simple. It ended up irritating my tract so much that I got a hemorrhoid.... it ruptured... scared ME TO DEATH. I've never had hemorrhoids in my LIFE... EVER until I had to have that upper right colon surgery.

So, ended up with an external fissure / hemorrhoid tag (30% of women have these, most don’t even know it) and issues with hemorrhoids ever since, which I still think stem from the initial rupture.

Fast-forward to October 4th, 2004. While in the process of giving birth, not only did a crack a tooth, I also developed a small hemorrhoid... fine like 80% of all PG women have hemorrhoids during pregnancy and especially after giving birth, I know what that feels like, it wasn't painful, my tear was more painful than anything...... but about 3 - 4 weeks later that thing ruptured... not as painful and not as much blood, but I knew what had happened. no worries, thought "it'll heal and I’ll go on about my business."

Well, this past week was IT. After 4 years of off and on pain, the past 2 weeks have just been IT. I've had such pain while going to the bathroom and when I do end up going there is blood that follows...... so I had an appointment this morning with Barb. She checked me out and said that what I’ve been experiencing isn't normal and was a little upset I didn't tell her about all of this before, but then understood while I was hoping it would all clear up on its own.

She had me strip and she did an examination, its official.... I have small hemorrhoids, the worst of which is a bb sized one on my sphincter which is the WORST possible place to have one because it's where the most stretching happens when you have a bowel movement.

She told me I now have to see a rectal / colon specialist, who Dr. Keith’s office recommended. I’ve made an appointment on Monday and we will go from there. Barb is hoping that I won’t need surgery, but she says there’s still a good chance I will. In the meantime I'm to use a prescription Barb gave me to help with the inflamation until Monday and she also told me to pick up some Metamucil, Citricil or Fiber-All, etc. to drink once a day.

As I told her, I don’t care… it’s been 4 years and I want that part of my body to just be just as ignored as one’s earlobe… instead of me dreading going to the bathroom all the time…. And yes, I am one of those “really regular people”… Scott jokes with Reese “you got your mom’s genes in that area!”

All of this gives new meaning to pain in the a$$ huh? I swear, when I aim to do something…. I do it right, there is no gray area…..

And to show you exactly what the heck they cut out... well, as best as can be described by what looks like ground beef with some labels on it, here are the photos that were taken of my guts in 2001. My surgeon went through my belly button:

Happy Christmas… I mean Easter!

(5 months 3 weeks 2 days)

Wow, Reese… what can I say….. except there are perks to being the first and only grand child… not to mention being SURROUNDED by wonderful family and friends.

The Easter Bunny spoiled you almost as rotten as Santa… they must have hook-ups…. Little scared of what the Tooth Fairy has in store.

Easter Basket from Scott and myself.

Basket and animals from Grandma/Grandpa (MIL/FIL) the basket also had socks and a onesie in there.

Is this all mine?

Mmmmm Monkey!

No you can't have my bunny!

Hurm, what is this?

Sesame Street PEZ Dispenser?! My favorite!

MMMM SPOONS. Was this Easter or Christmas?

Self family portrait.... almost everyone looking at the camera! HAPPY EASTER!

I’ve uploaded 24 and 25 week photos under the 5 month section…. A few highlights are as follows:

Friday was a ho-hum day and Scott and I just chilled a bit after running a few errands. Saturday Scott woke up super early and went and played an AWESOME game of golf while I met my playgroup at McD’s for lunch. We had SUCH a good time! It was also cool that one of Barbara’s patients was also there! Her son was born roughly 2 months before Reese… but it was so cool to see the differences and similarities! Cayden was all about my glasses, Reese was all about Cayden’s shoes! At one point, Cayden was grabbing at Reese’s bib and Reese was trying to grab Cayden’s binky! We all just had such a good time!

DSC05167

After hanging with all the other moms, dads and their kiddos Reese and I headed home where we spent the rest of the evening chillin’.

Easter Sunday we woke up early and prepared to go to the 8:30 service, but Reese went berserk! I mean nothing would calm her… she was cranky because she didn’t get another nap after eating and she so DID NOT want to stay in her Easter dress. After we let her CIO for 10 minutes in her swing, we headed out to the 11:00 service. We weren’t paged during the service, but she wasn’t happy when we came to pick her up. But it was SOOO cute when she reached out to me! Melted my heart… I love when she does that. The caretaker informed us that Reese had a bit of an explosion, but my wonderful husband’s foresight with putting a onesie on under her dress SAVED THE DRESS! You are the man Scott thank you!

After service, we whipped home and I fed Reese pears for the first time! SHE LOVED THEM! 1.5 oz of pears with 1 oz of milk…. That was on top of what she ate while at Church. We have a monster! After a quick change we then ran over to Tom and Linda’s for a wonderful Easter dinner! Turkey, ham, broccoli casserole (first time eating it since Reese was born, gave her too much gas prior), rolls, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. OH SO GOOD! And followed up by my favorite pie in the world… CHOCOLATE MERINGUE! Linda even sent me home with some extra broccoli casserole! Enjoying it while I type up this update. teehehe

Reese went through another wardrobe change and she felt MUCH better…. After a little nursing she did fall asleep in my arms and Tom put up the playpen within 5 seconds. We all had a good chuckle at that after the Valentine’s weekend fiasco. But of course, Reese popped right awake after leaving the warmth of my body and being placed into another weird place that she could see out of, but the mesh was too enticing to not touch. I love that kiddo.

We said our goodbyes, came home while Reese ate 2 oz of pears along with about 3 tablespoons of oatmeal. Bigger pig at dinner than she was at lunch! Oh well, she’s a growing girl!

That’s about it for news… for those that celebrate Easter, hope you had a happy one!

Happy First Easter Reese!!!
