I've gotta give MAJOR props to BOTH Grandma's yesterday AND today!!!

Linda took BOTH girls to lunch with her ladies at the lake yesterday for the first time and they had a WONDERFUL TIME! Reese said she liked having lemonade the best. They came home and slept for almost 2 1/2 hours each! I don't think any photos were taken, but I will double check.

THEN, today my mom took them to the Akron Zoo by herself!!! It was hot as Haydes (90+ degrees), but she did it, all by herself... Sit n' Stand and all! I made sure my mom took my camera, and had Reese remind her to take photos!

GOOD JOB MA & GRAMMY B!!!!!!!!!

ANDDDDDDD... I've finally been able to upload and post ALL 46 month photos thus far..... Enjoy!

Ashton Thomas made his apperance today at 11:33AM. Reese is very taken with Ashton, though she's not 100% how to react to his crying, but no doubt, she'll become used to it.

Please visit Ashton's Website for more details!

So sorry for the lack of updates....

TERRIBLY TERRIBLY busy just doing last minute things... NESTING IS TAKING OVER MY LIFE. But in a good way.

I'm finishing up moving Riley's things over to Reese's room in preperation for her "BIG MOVE" when Ashton is about 4 months old.... she still has some things in her nursery, but I also needed to make room for Ash's stuff.

Reese is excited, and has even told Linda that Riley will be moving into her room "in December." I've got a few more things to hang up in Reese's room to organize them a bit more, hopefully I'll be updating her Big Girl Room link tomorrow at some point..... but until then.....

I'm thrilled with the bow holder I made for the girls's room! And more so that now all the bows are in ONE area! I worked on it all weekend, and finished it up tonight!

OMG, how much do I love this kid?!

When I put the girls down for their naps this afternoon I went up to the attic to help Riley find her bubbies and I was upset that they had DESTROYED the play room.... after we had JUST talked about keeping it clean, not perfect, but at least not everything off the shelves, 3 days ago.... so I told Reese that she and Riley both needed to clean it up when they got up.... and thinking that Reese wouldn't remember I just let it go....

However, AS SOON AS she woke up from her nap she came into me and asked in a whisper as Riley was still sleeping "Mommy, may I go in the attic and clean?" And off to the attic she went and proceeded to put EVERYTHING away.... think she deserves 2 desserts from Cindy's church dinner tonight just for that.

Ugggg, MELT MY HEART! I love that kid.... LOVE HER TO PIECES.

Justin's 2nd birthday party was today. The girls had a good time, but as soon as the slip n' slide went on they had the BEST TIME!

They weren't 100% sure what to do, but Scott stood at the top and when Reese and/or Riley's turn came he would zing them to the bottom and I would be there to catch or at least block them from flying out into the driveway. It was super cute!

Today was a celebration of Ashton's arrival and Rebecca's (my god mother's) Birthday! It was an amazing day, weather wise and people wise! Reese and Riley BOTH had a good time playing in the pool. It was a bit chilly, but they played for a good 3 hours and even receied some gifts themselves!

You can see ALL the festivities and photos on Ashton's website here: http://ashton.eyeblinkfx.com/shower/babyshower.asp

Yup, we went to the zoo today! But boy was it HOT HOT HOT and PACKED. There was some sort of benefit dinner going on that evening and for the first time EVER I had to park in the BACK parking lots!!! Ugggg.... and no, they don't have expectant parent parking, but the girls were looking forward to it!

Reese was funny, as I was pushing around the Sit n' Stand, Reese, Riley, cooler and other miscellaneous items 37 weeks 3 days pregnant asked "Mommy, are you walking slow because you're tired?" I just laughed and said "Yes, 200 lb of extra baggage can do that to a person." I was glad I took them because they had a great time, and so did I.... even if it did take a wee bit longer to walk around.

Success!

Linda said that Reese was "good as gold" and I was thrilled! I kinda figured she would be ok since Reese is used to not sleeping in her own bed since we have been traveling down to my mom's since she was 8 months old, we've spent the night in hotel rooms and vacations.... and I'm sure it helped that Reese was WORN OUT after Josh's birthday party and then coming home to rough house with Uncle Matt!

Reese seemed to have a wonderful time as she told me all about the things she did. Especially the waffles and bacon she had for breakfast in the morning. Linda said that Reese even went outside to play a game in the backyard as SOON as she got up in her princess nightgown with Matt.

And when I dropped off the girls this morning to Linda's and she made my day. She complimented me on how well I've taught the girls thus far to be independent. Linda was very impressed how Reese knew where everything was in her bag, what soaps was used for what, washing her own hair (some help needed of course), taking off her clothes, putting them away in her bag, putting on her own nightgown, etc. Made me feel REALLY good about how the girls are turning out, even if they are only 3 1/2 and 2 when they aren't around me..... and I was even told that Reese and Riley both say their pleases, thank you's and no thank you's when I'm not there either...... DOUBLE Thanks Linda, that really did make my whole entire day and start of my week.

Therefore, yes, there will be other sleepovers!!!
