Miss Reese Lillian was born 10/04/04 @ 6:42PM. She weighed 8 pounds 4.6 ounces, 21" inches long. Everyone says she looks "just like her mommy!"
We are doing just fine, but we all really need our rest. So if you try and contact us and we don't respond right away, we have a good excuse, and dosen't hurt that she's cute too!
In the meantime, here are some photos of our "little monkey"

Well DUH! I had to have these!

It's about 12:42AM... after 30 minutes of pain I broke down and called Barbara.... pain is coming every 7 - 8 minutes.
She said for me to see if i can't sleep through the pain, because this might be "false" or even "early stages of labor" She told me to take a warm bath and get down on all 4's and do a pelvic rock while waiting for the water to fill the tub. I am to call her when my contractions are 4 - 5 minutes apart because the more I can do at home, the better things will be.
She said this could go on all night, but as soon as we hang up the phone, I could go into labor.
Will keep you posted, and i must say, this back labor pain SUCKS.
Stay tuned! This MAY, or MAY NOT be it.
Uggg, Can I get some rest?!

I have had one heck of a night's sleep. I've had these shooting pains from my lower back around to my lower abdomen... sorry if TMI.... but I'm not sure if it was due to my constipation or if this means impending labor. They started around 12:45AM and I woke up every few hours to one, not sure if there were others while i was sleeping. I finally was able to have some sort of a bowel movement... so I feel a bit better, but my back is still hurting.
Scott said "I think you will go tomorrow." He's getting excited!
And on a totally CLEANER subject... hehe I got this email from the ever exciting Grandma-To-Be:
I had my "ladies' night out" last night.
Sharon, Cathy and I ate at a fantastic Italian restaurant.
However, the "high" point was when we got up to leave and a couple behind us had a 5 mos old baby girl.
Sharon had kept "Addie", Stacy Johnson's daughter, all day because she had a little fever and the daycare wouldn't let her come.
So, we were all talking about babies and then we played with the 5 mos old.
So, we had to talk about my new expected granddaughter.
Honestly, this is the closest thing to when I was expecting you and Lyle. Ha! Ha!
(I took the blanket to work and everyone "oohed and ahhed" I must say that I outdid myself. Ha! Ha!)
Love you bunches,
MOM
October 1st... and STILL Pregnant
Friday, October 01, 2004
When I got to my puter this morning I had this waiting for me:
David Stiller: When you gonna pop out that baby!?
BWAHAH. I love David..... Scott talks to my belly every night and told her to hold on until around the 8th, but I'm still betting on Sunday.
WOW, I can't believe it's already the FIRST day of October and happy that Monkey has held off this long. She can come on out when she wants to now... but I don't think I'll be saying that if she holds off until the 11th.. I'm sure it'll be more like "YOU ARE EVICTED, GET OUT!"
Sleeping at night has become a challenge.... Monkey is so far down now that her shoulders rest on either side of my pelvis.. and you can FEEL IT. And in turn, I'm prone to hip bursitis, so then my hips start hurting on whatever side I'm laying on at the time. I've found myself on my back the past few nights, which could be worse, but I have my massive candy cane shaped body pillow my mom bought me, which in short has been a LIFE SAVER.
Linda brought "the ladies" over yesterday to check out the house and nursery. They had nothing but good things to say. Made Scott feel good because he's the one that's done the majority of the work. GO SCOTTY BOY!
This weekend Scott and I plan on doing NOTHING. I mean ZILCH, NADA, ZERO. We've been working so hard since Labor Day weekend, we need a rest, especially since we are in the "waiting mode" on our new addition.
Will keep you posted!
Hello, my name is Sue and I have Cankles...
Thursday, September 30, 2004
Just to show you all how bad my cankles are... I took a photo of them last night... the ridge in the middle of both feet are from my shoes which I took off at around 4:30... I took these photos around 6:00.... they got a little fatter as the night went on cuz I was busy filing and shredding paperwork from 2003 and re-filing things into our filing cabinet for 2004.... yeah, I'm a filer and my hubby is a PILER. Drives me batty... and no, this just ain't nestin'
Here are my cankles:
Scott points out that it looks like I've sprained both ankles... my poor piggies... and I know that something is up, because I have hammer toes... I barely see any curlin' goin on!!
As far as "is anything different" nope! Rebecca (My Godmother) called me last night to see how I was doing. It's always so nice to speak with her. My mom is flying up to Cleveland and both of them are driving down for the birth of their first Grandchild!
I also had a great lil' surprise waiting for me in my mailbox when I got home yesterday!
My good friend Daya mailed these to Monkey!! She said that she was going to also pick up a pair of Monkey shoes, but Baby Gap was out. HOW CUTE ARE THESE ONESIES?! The white one is newborn to 3 months and the red turtleneck is 3 - 6 months. THANK YOU DAYA!
As far as today.... I got my first "Is she here yet? email. HAHAHA I thought those only happened to other people! Nope, Monkey is still stayin' put, though at night you'd think she was trying to, as Scott puts it "bust out of my belly button." She was movin' around so much last night it was actually moving all of me!
And I don't think I can give Scott a hard time when we go out to eat at places he frequents for lunch. I've been going by Subway for the past few months for lunch cuz it's easy, close and... easy. The lady behind the counter says to me "You have what? One more week!?" I was shocked and said "Just about, she's due Sunday!" She said "Seems like you've been pregnant forever!" I laughed. I just kept thinking of all the times we go places to eat and everyone knows who SCOTT IS (especially the sushi guy in New Orleans)!
I can't remember if i posted this or not, but my next Midwife appointment is the 6th at 7:30PM. Which is kinda ironic because Sunday was the due date from all the u/s taken, the 6th is the day the radiologist guessed and the 11th is what Barbara is going by. So stay tuned! Should happen in the next week!
Still pregnant, if just barely!

Good evening all! Our weekend was great, and I finally packed my hospital bag… so it’s now official. We are ready to have this baby… well, as ready as getting to the hospital as we can be. teehehe
I had my weekly appointment this morning!
Weight: Up 4 pounds, BAAHHHHH... damn water retention Blood Pressure: 124 / 72 Baby K's Heart Rate: High 160's Baby K's Head: Still Down and “her head is fitting perfectly into the birth canal” Barbara then held up her fingers about 2 ½ to 3 inches apart and said that’s how far down her head has to go… WOW! Uterus: 33 cm (She’s dropped more!), 90% EFFACED!!!!! Cervix: 0 cm dilated (I inquired if that was normal, and Barbara said “Yes, the more you get done now the better!”)
Barbara said "Anytime now!" YAYAYAY! She made sure to tell me on the way out “to make sure to give her a call if anything changes.” WELL DUH!!
39 Belly pics added... Scott kills me. When he was getting ready to take the front shot he just stopped and stared. I inquired what he was looking at... his response "Well, I'm just looking at the massive torpedo belly you have, and it's gotta come out that tinnnnnyyy....." I stopped him right there and said "If you love me, you won't finish that statement." LMAO!
Love my love marks eh? OH SO ITCHY.
Ok, need to go rest, my cankles are killin' me!
Didn't know that ribs double also as a xylophone!

My god, no wonder Scott's been "having nightmares that our kid is going to come out as a dwarf with big feet." LMAO! Poor guy.... But goodness, this kids feet do know how to do some movin... and how do you explain to a baby on the INSIDE that ribs aren't supposed to bend OUT that way? At least it's a constant reminder that she's still head down, and I do love ticklin' her feet... just can't wait to blow raspberries on them!
There has been good and bad things about Baby K "dropping." Bad thing, I had to laugh when Barbara asked, "Can you wait to go to the bathroom at least an hour after you drink something?" I swear, when she asked that it was as if she was seriously asking me to climb Mount Everest. I laughed, "In my wildest second-trimester dreams!" She cracked up and replied, "So more like 20 minutes?" I shook my head and said "Give or take a minute or two." But a good thing is, that now when I do go, it actually feels as though I've accomplished something, nothing like climbing a flight of stairs (yeah, my office is on the second level, bathrooms are on the top) and sit there and nothing happens....grrrrr.
And of course the rib issue.... But nothing that a nice lil' nudge with the palm of my hand doesn't take care of. Oreo also finds that it's a little easier to lay on me in certain positions on my belly... well, until Monkey starts kickin' cuz Oreo is just a lil' heat box!
I have found that I can't cross my legs anymore, though I have made a conscience effort NOT to to reduce varicose veins.... But the mere action of trying to "close" my legs suddenly to catch something bouncing off my pinball front is near impossible. Scott was walking behind me going up the stairs the other day and he DIED laughing... I had to turn around and there he was, doing a sumo wrestler imitation! And when I thought about how I was walking up the stairs, I was walkin' like that!
Then there was "where's your cell phone Sue?" when we got in the car and drove back to the house. I was sitting in the chair trying to find it, looked in the glove box and everywhere... so Scott turns around and we head back to Depot. He gets out to go in, and I was gearing myself to get out of the car and guess what I found? The cell phone!!!! Wanna guess where it was?! UNDER MY BELLY! BWAHAHA! I couldn't see it!! So I nonchalantly walked into Depot and caught Scott before he went back to the aisle we were in. He just looked at me, I died laughing and he rolled his eyes. I said, "Don't ask me where I found it."
Scott has told me the past few weeks that "if your head wasn't screwed onto your body you'd lose it!" I keep telling him it's my pregnancy brain! WHICH btw is a scientific proven fact that it's REAL. http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pregnancy/prenatalhealth/236.html Andy at my doctor's office said "We refer to it as placenta brain. You can have a placenta or a brain, but you can't have both."
I sorta remember when it started because Scott would ask "What's wrong with you lately?" hahah Some of the "classic" pregnancy brain moments:
- Thought I forgot my purse in the Outback bathroom, and had the manager looking for it for 2 days: Truth - I left it in our living room the whole time. - Left my cell phone in the checkout line of the super market, but did remember it before I got back in the car. - Dawn joked that she had said "Goodnight" at the strangest parts of the day. I did the same thing to the checkout lady at Wal-Mart. - I know that there is more, but my PG brain is kicking in again...
Scott and I are going to head to the Cider and Mum Festivals this weekend! I can't wait!!! It's supposed to be beautiful! The weatherwoman said that today was "probably one of our last 80 degree days." WOO HOO! I love fall and winter! I can't wait to take our lil' snow bunny... or is that a snow monkey.... Out this winter!
