It's so awesome to see Scott's reactions, though sometimes subtle... and especially the way he goes out of his way to make sure that he's well informed of everything.
Case in point.... Daddy Boot Camp Tuesday night for 3 hours. :)
Babies R Us holds a Daddy Boot Camp once a month for all expectant and "veteran" fathers. I had completely forgotten about it (pregnancy brain strikes once again), but Scott had remembered it and was looking forward to "hanging with the other fellas." Even Matt was impressed he went by himself.
Scott said covered a lot of the same sorts of things that we went over in our birthing classes, but it was interesting to hear what the other father's had to say. He even went so far as to tell me what things we needed to be aware of around the house and a bunch of other little tidbits of information..... and the best part for me, MORE COUPONS! Scott joked the only reason I wanted him to go was to "use me for free coupons... I feel like such a whore." LMAO!
He said that he was able to hold a newborn baby girl as well, "I still feel a little awkward holding someone else's baby, but I felt great that she didn't cry." He was also able to see her be changed and it was so cute to hear him say, "There was a definite difference between 'I need to be changed now!' and 'I'm starving over here!' cry." He also was able to find out the local fire station schedules for car seat checks... that is on my list of things to do this weekend with Monkey able to make an appearance anytime now and the hospital not discharging you and the baby until there is a car seat securely fastened in your vehicle.
We worked more on going through a few things in the house, but we both were so tired we vegged on the couch... but I was able to take my first bath in the new house. MY GOD AM I INLOVE WITH OUR BATHTUB!!!!!!! It's one of those REALLY DEEP tubs that I practically need a hoist to get me out of at this moment, but I managed last night. SO very relaxing, and Monkey loved it too... Oreo on the other hand was VERY frustrated that she couldn't get a closer look at the bubbles, her paws barely reach the side.... So she and I had a nice little conversation. Scott yelled upstairs "What are you two doing?!" I said, "She's yelling at me because she's frustrated.... But we have it under control." You must understand that this puppy doesn't bark or whimper unless she can't see us or doesn't know who's at the door. It was very humorous.
We hope to be fully moved in and able to say "FINISHED" with all the baby things and house by this weekend. Wish us luck!

<-- Check out the left nav. ;)
The only thing that really needs to change is the pull blinds are going to be light blocking pull shades. 100% safer... and puts my neurotic mind at ease. hehe AND... there are a few more clothes that have been added to the closet organizer, thank you again Jennifer! Oh, and I did put a blub in the lamp. ;)

"That they only happen at night?"
I was doubled over, well more like quartered over, with laughter when Scott asked me this last night over dinner. That man keeps me in stitches… I think this was also during the same conversation where he said that growing a baby was as easy as “a turkey in a bag, you really can’t screw it up.” BWAHAHAHA!
I had my midwife appointment this morning and I had to tell her what Scott said and she too laughed but said “It’s actually true; more often than not babies come in the middle of the night. Speaking of which… here’s my after hours number.” WHOA, already that time eh?
EXCELLENT APPOINTMENT TO BOOT!
Blood pressure: 130/70 Weight: 2 pounds lost! (“You’re starting to deflate!”) Group B Strep Test: Negative Baby’s Head: Down Uterus: 35 cm AND… BABY HAS DROPPED!! Cervix: 60% effaced, 0 Station, 0 cm dilated (“Body & Baby is getting in gear”) Heart rate: 127 bpm (“Sleeping yet again.”) Work: “You can go back for 4 hours a day, or if you start to feel ill or “inflate again” you will be back on bed rest”
I’m pumped!!! I even got 2 free goody bags from Enfamil because I’m in my “3rd trimester”
Everything is movin’ right along! Hard to believe that this lil’ creature growing inside of me will be on the OUTSIDE very soon! Scott took 38 week belly pics of me last night…. Sorry for my straggly look in the maternity shot… one looks like that after a week of bed rest… but boy do I feel fantastic! And my poor belly button… gotta love the rings of Saturn, and before Scott took the “front shot” he said “And now we have the torpedo belly!” Like I said in the beginning of this post… my husband cracks me up!
Resting... Waiting...

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! All is well in the Kloetzer household. I'm actually at peace because I just found my "Baby Binder" that has everything I need to take the hospital with me... I was afraid it had gotten packed in the deepest part of the basement, but Scott was yet again the man and realized that the stuff in that particular box was important.
We finished the nursery!!! WOO HOO!!!
I'll try and post pictures ASAP. We were given another 2 bags worth of clothes and toys from Scott's cousins that live in Florida. THANK YOU JENNIFER! I'm going to go through those and hang them up today. She was wonderful and washed everything, so that's about 5 loads I don't have to worry about.
I can't believe I'm now 38 weeks! Scott was so sweet last night... because he's been bustin' his buns getting the house ready after he finished washing the last of the dishes and putting up the last of the items that "we need"... my wonderful hubby said "Well if __________, decides to come early, at least I feel a lot better prepared." Guess Oreo's tail wagging on my leg the other night, which in my mind was a spider and I loudly whispered "Scott, turn on the light! Turn on the light now!" He thought my water had broken and he said "I was just about to scream like a girl.... please don't do that again." gave him a bit of a wake-up call? Or more of a wake-up call than my ever growin' belly... and feet. teehehe
I go back to Barbara tomorrow to see if she wants me to continue my bedrest or go back to working part time until Baby K is here. Either way is fine with me.
Forogt the GOOD news!

Meant to also letcha know that Baby K is growing fantastically! My uterus is 35 centimeters, "right on track." I asked Barbara what she thinks the size would be of our lil' monkey, and she said that if I go the full 40 weeks, she's on track to be right around 8 pounds. YAY! I specifically asked if she thinks I'd have a 9 - 10 pounder and she said "Definitely not!"
She then checked Monkette's heart rate, she was sleeping so it was around 130's.... so Barbara started patting her on her butt to get her to move, it was amazing to see her move and hear her heart rate shoot up to the 170's! But then, she went back to sleep... so back down to the 130's. hehe
Scott won a big gift certificate from Baby Depot at work! Well... he could choose any store that he wanted it to come from, and as in his words "I was debating between Best Buy and Baby Depot." LMAO! Let's just say that #2 from Tuesday's post is taken care of.
AND, we've also managed to complete #5, after a little cursin' from Scott to get the convertible bed to the right height. I also found the batteries for the mobile, so that takes care of #6...
That just leaves:
1. Finish hanging up the valance over one window 3. Put up "safe" light blocking blinds 4. Hang up items on walls 7. Pack my hospital bag
36 and 37 week belly pics uploaded!!
Doctor's Appointment Update
Wednesday, September 15, 2004
Well... I just got back from my midwife appointment....
I'm officially on bed rest until further notice.
My blood pressure is up and she's being overly cautious to make sure I don't go into toxemia.... I also have gained 9 pounds, pretty much 99% water in 2 weeks. No protein in my urine, but she's not wanting to take any chances.
I called my mom and she said for "me not to freak out because she has lots of teachers in her school system that are put onto the same regimen, so it's perfectly normal." PHEW... mom always seems to make me calm when she stays calm. I figured if she started freaking out, then I would... but she didn't, so I'm calm. hehe
I go back in to her Tuesday at 10:30 morning to recheck me, and if things are ok then, she'll allow me to go back to work part-time... but until then, I'm to "take it easy"
Guess more time for me to sit and situate the nursery and finish slickin' Scott's computer and reinstalling everything.
Hope you all have a great day!
Email lurker mode
Tuesday, September 14, 2004
Howdy folks! Sorry for the lack in response to emails being sent. I honestly haven't had time to respond to ANYONE'S email! :(
Scott has been the MAN at getting the house together. I've been an unpackin' fewl in the nursery, which is about 98% DONE! I finished washing all the linens and Scott was so sweet and purchased a craddle set that matches the crib set! "I don't want her killing her head on the sides... this set comes with a really nice bumper." It's so cute! I love it and he picked it out all by himself!
The only thing to really left to do as far as "baby" is:
1. Finish hanging up the valance over one window 2. Purchase changing table, cradle and crib mattress/pads 3. Put up "safe" light blocking blinds 4. Hang up items on walls 5. Put together bedding in crib and cradle 6. Find the bazillion batteries I purchased to highjack 4 to put into the mobile 7. Pack my bag, which will be the LAST thing because Scott is funny and thinks that's the "que" for Baby K to "come on out." LMAO!
I do feel much better now that I've found her coming home outfit as well as a backup incase she's a "big baby" and won't fit into 0-3 month outfits. WHICH, I'm hoping isn't the case.... for obvious reasons (at least I think women will think it's obvious teehehe)
I have my mid-wife appointment tomorrow so I will update and hopefully get up the 36 and 37 week belly pic by this weekend.
And not trying to think ahead TOO terribly much, but Thanksgiving is only several weeks away but seems that the hurricane worked out perfectly for Pat (Scott's Aunt in New Orleans or as we now refer to her G.A.P. [Great Aunt Pat]) to "have to" change her ticket to Florida to somewhere else.... so she's flying up for Thanksgiving to meet Baby K! WOO HOO! I called my mom and she too is going to fly up the day after Thanksgiving!!
My mom is still planning on flying up for Baby K's tentative arrival, and she was able to get a ticket that she can change the date, so she'll definitely be here for Monkey's escape from her cage. YAY!
Can't wait to see everyone!
"You look like you could go any day now!
Sunday, September 12, 2004
I recieved this information from a waitress at breakfast this morning. Made me smile... everyone has said this entire pregnancy that I don't look pregnant until you see the side of me! haha Guess being tall has it's advantages! Though, again, I feel as though my butt is a counterweight for my belly! Though, I'm not allowed "to talk like that, because your bag isn't even packed yet!"
Not a whole lot to report other than that I'm FULL TERM! WOO HOO!!! ( ( ) ~ ( | ) ~ ( ) ) <- Pregnant woman shimmey
I go in for my last "every 2 week appointment" this week... then it's every week until Monkey escapes her cage. ;)
Nursery is coming right along!! Oreo is having to figure out which are "her toys" and which are "the baby's toys." Scott and I were hanging up pictures and shelves in the living room when he said "SUE SHE'S GOT THE DUCK! (My mom bought a duck that has a blanket that shoves in it's belly so it's duel stuffed animal/blanket)" I looked over, sure enough.... she was on the couch with it just sitting there as if saying "hey, finders keepers! :þ"
I'll post pictures of everything when I feel it's "finished" ;) Might be awhile.. I'm in my nesting phase, which is rather fantastic seeing as though we just moved! Don't worry, not over doing it... couldn't even if I tried... seems as though I've slowed to negative warp speed lately, but not complaining!!!
Will post belly pics when I get everything up and going in the computer room like I want it. Type atcha laters taters!
